OUR STORY

Grown from a love of plants.

Piantera began with a love of plants — and the feeling that buying and selling them could be more thoughtful. What started as a personal frustration with scattered listings and unclear information became an idea for a marketplace created specifically around plants and the people who grow them.

01

Why I started Piantera

I kept finding beautiful plants, but the process around buying them often felt fragmented and unclear.

Plants were being sold through general marketplaces, social platforms, private groups, and conversations spread across different apps. Important information was often missing, and it was difficult to know what would happen after agreeing to buy.

I wanted to create a place where the experience felt more considered, where plants were not treated like ordinary products and where listings could include the details that actually matter.

THE QUESTION

Buying a plant shouldn't be the least clear thing you do online.

Yet it often is. Plants are living and individual — their size, condition, form, origin, and delivery all matter. The marketplace around them should make space for those details.

PRINCIPLES

What felt missing

01

Details that matter

Plant form, condition, delivery, location, and seller information should not be hidden or difficult to understand.

02

A clearer process

Messages, order details, pickup information, and delivery updates should remain connected to the purchase.

03

A place made specifically for plants

The marketplace should reflect the needs of collectors, hobby growers, and professional plant sellers rather than treating plants like ordinary objects.

ORIGIN

From an idea to Piantera

The frustration

Finding and buying plants across scattered platforms often felt unclear and disconnected.

The idea

A focused European marketplace could give plants, sellers, and buyers a more suitable structure.

The beginning

Piantera is now being built carefully, one part at a time.

FOUNDER NOTE

A note from the founder

Piantera is the marketplace I wished existed: focused, calm, and created with an understanding that every plant and every seller has a story.

It is still at the beginning, and there is a great deal left to build. I want to develop it carefully, listen to the people using it, and remain honest about what the marketplace can and cannot provide.

Thank you for being here at the beginning.

STILL GROWING

Piantera is an independent project in development. Its features, rules, and marketplace processes will continue to improve as real buyers and sellers begin using it.
