Marketplace results use text matching, filters, availability, seller activity, and selected sorting. No paid placement or personal ranking was found.

Plain-language overview

Explains the main parameters used for marketplace search, filters, sorting, featured listings, and recommendations.

Public results include approved listings with quantity above zero, a publication date, and an active seller.
Search checks listing title, description, city, country, seller display name, plant display name, botanical name, and genus.
Filters can narrow by listing kind, plant type, genus, seller country, price range, shipping support, and pickup support.

Newest first sorts by published date descending, then created date descending.
Oldest first sorts by published date ascending, then created date ascending.
Price sorting uses listing price ascending or descending, with newer listings as a tie-breaker.
No paid placement, sponsored placement, or personalised search ranking was found in the implementation.

Featured public listings use newest approved plant listings.
Similar listings on a listing page prefer the same plant genus, then fall back to newest public listings.
Popular genus chips are based on the number of active public plant listings per genus, then alphabetical tie-break.
Admin priority seller fields exist in the schema, but public marketplace ranking code reviewed here does not use them.
